    WildChild85 got a reaction from NCORE1 in [FAQ] Anti-cheats and choosing EQU8
Well NQ, to be honest, yes these steps you made are totally necessary, BUT the DLLs gave us features you still didn't gave us and that are absolutely required.

    These are for example:
    - external requests for receiving and sending data to our own apis (VERY IMPORTANT)
    - a json encoding/deconding that is not stupidly slow
    - communication between programming boards
    - and more

The coder community in this game is big and needs more specialized features to make this game as great as it deserves to be. But if you restrict everything and give us nothing back, I don't know how long coders will stick to the game.

I am actually quiet disappointed how coders get ignored and handled like 2nd class people.

WildChild85 reacted to Honvik in Disappointed NQ lack of help in fixing our City
Whilst I know I'll have some replies that this is not a priority they can be for some including our Org.  We thought we were moving forward with NQ asking us to provide locations and owners of car in the territory we own as an org to be abruptly advised it is not possible.

We are trying to resolve, expand our player run city on Ailoth for our Org 'Empire' but sadly there are a number of cores owned by people long left the game blocking path's, blocking development in a few key locations so we reached out to NQ to help with assistance.  We of course have learnt our mistakes going 'forward' so will give rights for people to build but core owned by the Org so this stops this situation going forward, however we cannot fix the rest without NQ's help.

All that we are asking is NQ come back to the table and actually help people who play your game and are here to improve the offering to players.  Of course some of us even thought 'lets all send tickets in' but that would clog your system up would it not?

Hopefully this can be resolved and we can get back to building and settling fantastic new structures and also getting some new players into building too!

    Thank you

    Noveans,

I come to you today with intriguing news: we’ve been alerted to some kind of signal from what appears to be a ship. ?

This time, however… something feels… different. New. Odd. There’s a tingle in our collective space suits. This whole thing feels... simultaneously mysterious and exciting with a touch of, dare I say it, danger! ?

If you’re ready to embark on an all-new journey in search of loot and levity, we encourage you to suit up and head out and find the first clue.

That’s all, folks. Good luck out there...

WildChild85 got a reaction from Takao in Not Punishing Desolation was weak and poor from NQ
    About the situation:
The organization Desolation (https://community.dualthegame.com/organization/4124/) has used a bug very actively to move ships from the Safe Zones (even planets) to the pvp zone to destroy and therefore steal them. Around 300 players have lost there ships and a lot of new players with that everthing they had resulting in a big quit wave. We know, that Desolation even allows their members explicitly in their rules to use any kind of bug and exploit, which is clearly against the rules of Novaquark.

NQ now officially confirmed, that this organization doesn't get any punishment. So basicly this whole rules here
are complete bullshit, because you can do whatever you want, Novaquark will not punish you.

If that is the way NQ wants to go, this game will die pretty quickly because all new players, that don't have the power or organizations behind them yet will quit the game very quickly.

In my opinion, this is a very poor and weak behavior of Novaquark and a punsh in the face for every honest player in this community.

WildChild85 reacted to Emptiness in Bot orders are allowing the limited supply of T1 ore to be converted to quanta en masse.
Currently, mega industrialists with good crafting skills are crafting various intermediaries and voxels, and selling them to bot orders for a profit. For example: Basic components, connectors, screws, or pipes, or steel voxels / honeycomb.

Let's take a close look at Steel honeycomb. There are roughly 100 different varieties of steel honeycomb, and a significant fraction have bot buy orders. Let's take a look at .. galvanized beige steel. Every single market in game has a buy order for roughly 200,000 of this voxel, at prices varying from 338.84 to 361.11 per m3. For the purposes of this exercise, we will assume a sale price of 361.11 per m3.

We start with Hematite and Coal.
    Given 100kl of Hematite (23q/l, 2.3m quanta), and 50kl of Coal (21q/l, 1.05m quanta), with level 4 refining skills, that becomes 65 * 0.88 input, 45 * 1.12 output, for 88.112% efficiency.

    We get 88,112l Pure Iron and 55,056l 44,056l Pure Carbon. Now, for steel refining. Level 4 skills, 100 * 0.88, 50 * 0.88 inputs, 75 * 1.12 output, for 88 iron, 44 carbon, 84 steel output.

We now have 84,107l steel. Now, for honeycomb refining. Base honeycomb refining is 100l for 10m3. Steel honeycomb refining skills at level 4 give: 100 * 0.8, 10 * 1.2, for 80 steel input, 12 m3 output.

We now have ~12,600m3 of steel honeycombs. Let's go back to that bot buy order. 361.11q per m3, 200k quantity. We sell the 12,600m3 of steel honeycomb to the bot buy order, deleting those materials from the game, and getting ~4.55 million quanta injected into the economy from nowhere. At 3.35 million ore costs, that's quite a profit.

At level 5 skills, this profit becomes even more absurd, at ~5.7 mil. Even via crafting something like basic pipes, 3.3 mil of ore gets deleted/converted to 5.4 mil quanta...

Does anyone else think this is a problem?

TLDR: Good crafting skills lets you convert ore to parts and sell them to bot orders for crazy profits and also delete that ore from the game. Probably 20 million liters of t1 are being deleted per day, or more, and 500 million quanta added to the economy. Also, expect to see T1 ore prices rise to at least 35q per liter before people stop doing this.

It’s simple really, they won’t enforce it when it continues to happen over and over.

It’s well known that there is an org that promotes the use of exploits and glitches, and it’s even written on their own org rules. That alone should be enough to permanently ban the leaders of that org and soft ban everyone else (at least a week) that belongs to that org. But they really question here is why don’t they do it? There is tangible proof, and they repeatedly continue to abuse exploits.

Is no one curious why nothing is ever done? Really? Who are this players is the real question, why they continue to be exempted. Besides, even if they get all ban, they will be playing minutes after the ban with a different account, and that is also well known. I stop caring right after exploit 3 of Beta, because this is when I realized they will never punish them, ever (not counting Alpha bs here but some of us know what happened).

In the past NQ has banned people for much less and some of these things are now even allowed. NQ have lost players and sub money because of it and they are just letting it pass? HELLO??

Really? A carrier full of pvp ships getting warped around the galaxy dropping off ships at distant planets to snipe people as they decelerate on approach didn't make people quit?

I think you are severly overestimating the impact of people who lost their crappy noob ships on Alioth to those who lost them to the pvp cheese.

I bet that more people quit from losing their newbie speeders by lagging them into the 'no fly zone' at the markets when their FPS dropped to 0 and they couldn't stop.

I'm not trying to turn this into some "whataboutism" - but if we are going to apply punishments to exploits - it's all or nothing.

So yes - either nothing is punished or everything is. Warpsleds, links, dupes, safe zone theft, etc....

I will defend NQ on this one - partially. Enough people argued for "this is fine" both on forum and discord - that i understand why the waters get so muddy that they decide not to punish people. It pisses me off too, but i do understand logic behind it. True test will be first report which will come after this announcement.

The biggest problem i see is time they needed to react to that. If this is what we are going to expect in future - so "not on the list than fine" and week or longer to add to the list - this game for long months will be trolls feast.
