  1. The video was nice to watch, and also was informative. There are 3 points where I need to give or get input: 1 - Dawn of Demeter / Nvidia "Geforce Now" Client Unavailability I am a little bitt concerned about not having enough time o harvest some mega nodes on some of my territories because DU is sill unavailable for login inside tha Nvidia Geforce Now game client. I am also concerned of not being able to place constructs inside the huge cavity I am working on since over a year for my future underground base. If I have not ime enough o place sructures there to get the NQ team to excavate, I will lose all the dug-out cavity I did during the last year. Therefore, my question is, when DU will become available again inside the Nvidia Geforce Now game client. Many players are using this client. Can we get some estimations when we can play DU again and prepare for Demeter? 2 - Demeter - Territory Tax - Suggestion Why would the territory tax amount not be depending on the yield amount of that territory? This way, tax-free no-value territories would mostly be used for HQs, while yieldful territories would predominantly be used for mining. Also, tax-free terriories should not allow mining drones at all. Low-yield territories would be cheaper to own as the earning is lower, while high-yield territories would have that announced sky-high tax of 1 million of hard-to-come-by quantas. This way, a player who couldn't claim any high-yield territory, would not be in financial tax disadvantage to those orgs that hold many high-yield territories. Like in real life, property tax depends on property value (in our case: ore yield amount). 3 - DSAT & T3 Ore I do not see the problem here. Is T3 ore not available on many planets? I believe, it is possible o acquire T3 ore on several planets and then becoming able to build DSATs. T3 ore does not exist on asteroids alone... But that is just my opinion...
  2. If only PVP players would atttack other PVP players. But oo many of these "real men" attack unarmed vessels. That is the problem...
  3. We can reduce everything to that statement: Legion and other violence lovers are causing hardship for all other players.
  4. None of us normal players like Legion. Legion is where all he thrash of he society has come together, similar to what we see what human thrash builds up around a certain orange-haired wanna-be dictator of one of the big countries here on Earth. Just the bottom of the society. There is a Russian PVP org that prepares a big srike against Legion in the coming two weeks, and I hope that they will be successful to wipe out the Legion thrash.
  5. It could give some extra spice to the game, if there are a number of undocumented talents (skills), that get unlocked only during events and only based on special situations. A basic example: A ship crashes but he pilot somehow survives that heavy crash. This unlocks a new Special Talent: "Crash Reflex" - a skill that can be trained and increases surviving of ship crashes. What ideas do you all have about what kind of talents could be unlocked by special situatiosn or events? Please write down your ideas!
  6. Three monhs is too early. I do not even like at all he idea of punishing paying players. Or do you mean, that they get back some of their paid money?
  7. Not really, such a change should be easy to implement. I am a programmer, too.
  8. I don't see why the game canno offer full possibilities to all types of players. Once the righ options are in place, fun is there.
  9. I would prefer no decay, so there is no stress in invesing into DU. Bu if there is a decay (big pressure, big sress factor), then it really must give a lot of time to the player. Out of my own history: I had a terrible accident in 2019, and was for 4 long monhs in two different hospitals, no way to prepare anything (quanta) or to ge ingame. And people who pay money to play and build constructs, I am not sure how a decay punishmen will be ttaken by those players. After all, they paid money.
  10. What a strange suggestion. For my part, I reject it, too, like he other poster(s) in this thread.
  11. I don' even understand, how a normal player could ever want that constructs and territories are being removed. Sounds very fishy to me. Like an attempt to make this game losing even more players to other, competing games like Starbase and such. NQ is well-advised not to implement any policy that would damage a player, unless the removal takes effect aftter a long, long period, like four months, or even a year. But looking at a server what a player is, the answer is: a player is just digital data. Does no take much space on a server. So why to punish and anger players. The more I think about it, that wish of that , ummmm, player is very fishy. Raising suspicion alarm bells in my mind.
  12. Nice to see that this suggestion would benefit other players. thanks for your support. ?
  13. Why do you wish to punish paying players? Remember, I do no say NO to your idea, but have to make sure it does no become unjust and gets even more players to resign from this game in protest. Or is it that what you want - to kill this game? Are you with another game developer?
  14. Thanks for the constructive reply. Here my answers: Even aluminium and plastic can show signs of aging. Also, dirt is yet another type of aging or weathering, and that affects all materials. All ideas here are read by NQ, and those ideas that get replies or likes are considered even more. Bu that does not mean that these things will happen, that NQ is starting to work on those. They are just added to a list, and different priority levels are assigned to each idea. With other words; many of them might happen but only after the game in its core is where NQ wants it to be. We all here know that. ?
  15. I can envision a number of materials that are highly decorative and beautiful and ultra-light in weight, but do not have any strength in combat. Examples for tthose deco honeycombs - leather types - animal skins (dotted, striped, etc.) - fibrous textile courtains - woods - stones - etc.
  16. Well, the idea is o show all players a good spirit. If I send a PM, then there would not be any lesson for all other players. The lesson to reach out after a hard discussion, I mean. And in times like these, it might be importtant to give a good exxample, even if the other involved side is unwilling to do their part.
  17. Your satement was terrible, too. And it is always better to give a good example rather than to avoid responsibiliy instead of playing politics to give oneself a better image. Remember, you too got a warning point from the forum admins.. What one feels to be right might no be felt by he vast majoriity as being right. I expected you would reach out, too. My hand is still stretched out towards you.
  18. All ships in DU look like they are brand-new. I would be cool, if we could activate various "weathering" layers on selected areas and selected elements of ships and bases. I am listing various layer ideas here: - oil - dirt - metallic corrosion - surface aging damage The srength (intensity) of the weathering can be set by the player - 0 = restoring to default "none"' - 1 = a litle bit - 2 = moderate - 3 = a lot
  19. A game like DU can get a lot of emotions from its players. Even more, if it is still in development and open for changes. The resulting discussions can get emotional, too, therefore I decided o set an exampl,e here in this forum and show, how players can overcome their disagreements that have lead to sad emotions. Here, in front of everyone, I wish to apologie to @Lethys and reach out my hand to him for a (digial) handshake,. And to all of you I am reminding, to respect each other. Different opinions, even if very far away from he own, must sill not lead to a disrespec.t. So, people, learn from the example and always have a good attitude when communicatting with others. Forum admins, feel free to keep or delee his posting.
  20. The idea with the timer is a possibility. I see self-destruction timers in other games, too. Their delays would allow some ships to escape, but not all. The same could be done inside DU. But for sure they have to be able to catch some of the aggressors, otherwise hey would fail to bring some balance into the game. I of course understand that PVP lovers do not like any risks of ship loss on their own side, but hat is how PVP is: risky. If they don't like the idea of a shared risk, they should stick to the Safe Zone.
  21. I like that idea. But to prevent the Unsafe Zone to become even deadlier, I would say, with the inroduction of NPC PVP factions, the real-player PVP needs o be limited to armed ships only. I love the idea of NPC PVP as a balance factor to real-player PVP. And also want to see many more challenges inside the Unsafe Zone.
  22. I, oo, use he free Nvidia Geforce Now clien (until my PC is repaired). his matter you are mentioning, is a matter with the client, not with the game. It is that client that disables such things, unfortunately. hat same clien would also block to access the harddrives of that server, and it never will be able to access he files on your own computer. These are Nvidia rules. No NQ.
  23. Well, people, then help to develop the rules that prevent exploiation. I ry my best to creatte suggestions to end he exploitations of unarmed players by PVP. So, join the train!
  24. Seems you do not like certain things from oher people and start to react angrily. That was the purpose of my lesson, and hopefully you do undersand now the bad emotions aggression gives to your countless victims, too. Aggression is aggression, wherever it happens., even if you ake aggression into the game world You say you do no wish to encounter such people in the game. Your own answer would be: "then stay inside your zone and do not enter the zone I am in, oherwise get ready to be confronted again and again with it". Wha a big smile you gave me now, thanks for it. Well appreciated. Mission accomplished.
