I have been gone for over a year because the game stopped loading for me. After all that time it finally started again. Why I liked the game was for escape from the hoards of players that love to have Multiplayer and PvP. I liked it because I could come here and escape the everyday world and just build up my own little corner and slowly build everything myself without all he economy market BS, Now that is all gone. I am being forced to do this game as a small bunch of people thinks it should be played. I have to join an org or sell in market to make money just to build things. Use a whole schematic to build one item! The whole joy of experimenting in quiet space is gone now. I agree with Memoti. This totally ruined the game for me - they are gonna do this all over again and waste my few valuable few free hours I get each week for all this overthinking bs has ruined this game. It had promise but boy the pooch is going home really sore now. Horrendous development choices here guys.

Agreed. But I've made it thru so far with lots of trial and errors. Just that those big jumps in quantity are not right at all - a very boneheaded thing for them to do. Just wish that they would also just settle on the what and how and just make it consistent over time without changing the basics every time they do a major update. And for god;s sake stop the WIPES!

Thanx Your help solved my problem. I did it just the way you did yours - no uninstall program used, Downloaded new install and all is fine. Me? I'm still Alioth Territory and Sanctuary Territory. I have all but Recycle, L and XL assembly. And a couple of the Metalworks and Electronics. But the L assembly and they 3rd ship are both in progress now - another day or two it looks like. But gotta do some major mining! Supplies about played out 2 completed planet ships for quick shuttle and beginner (surface mining) transport. Half way thru my first inter planetary with a small container for atmo planets. Then my 2 and 1/2 Small Container ship that will be no atmo and atmo bodies - Then a big medium with warp, anti-gravity and all the other shit So once I get back to space I'll look you up. Or you can stop by one of mine if you would like - they are still pretty rough but quite worthwhile

You a solo person or Org type? Me I fly the solo route - it's a challenge. But I've had a buttfull of Orgs in real life, This here is an escape for me. But I would like to have like minded friends to cover "6's" and all. Or do trips together.

Boy I hope not! But it isn't costing me anything to hang around and find out. I do have a launcher problem tho. It is completely dead. But a person in another forum here as helped me figure that out. I have to uninstall DU and reinstall a fresh download! Sucks! And I ain't no PC guru - so cross your fingers! lol And thanks for your input - glad to see I might not be alone in my thoughts

Thank you sir. You are right on me taking this approach. The system I am using now is a brand new up to date gaming PC. The one it is replacing is still functioning really well but to dated to handle the games. I went back to it and Dual started up just fine. While my new one won't. So here goes! Cross your fingers! lol One last question is should I follow up with a uninstaller like IOBit after using Dual's uninstaller so the registry and all that jazz is checked? Or does that search you mention cover all that?

WOW! I don't know how to do all that searching at all. I play games - know nothing of what you speak. I did see DU's uninstall file. But searching for files that this missed - I have no idea how and have any confidence that I did

That seems to be standard anymore. Look at Star Citizen. But I was hoping these people were gonna be better than that. But I'm getting discouraged Today I can't even get the launcher to even launch. And I can't find out if I am the only one or not.

Anyone know of an org for us solo people to band together and still maintain our independence?

I am in total agreement. This new building mistake is a game breaker for me. This game was sold as; " NO CHARACTER CLASS. NO PREDETERMINED ROLE. The role you play in the shared universe only depends on your actions and your choices. Be a space pirate. A galactic trader. A cargo hauler. An interstellar industrialist. And everything in-between." Alpha is different game from the one they gave us in Beta, And not one indicator that anything was up. They took all choice of independent - solo play away. Don't know why they would do that. One thing for sure is that it would certainly be an issue with many, many players and they won't even have the decency to own up to it and have a conversation about it, Maybe they are afraid to admit that they aren't capable to deliver all they promised us that a single shard universe would provide, That is why they sneaked this feature in to the Beta. They need money and if they told us this between closing Alpha and the initialization of Beta and the large infusion of cash as result. They would have lost all that cash. Sorta like Star Citizen selling of ships to finance their game that doesn't work. I for one am highly disappointed in their childish tactics,

Thank you. I did watch that. Just a senior moment. But the version we downloaded just now then is still not the beta one yet then? So right now then no wipe has occurred. Still sorta hurts loosing all that effort. Full solo factory setup and all - had some great ships

Bet you a dollar to a donut hole beta has a wipe. No new person paying subscription prices is gonna get in a beta live with full persistence release years behind everyone else. And also why would they have all the downloading if all we were doing was playing a dying alpha? Seems like they gave all the beta release content and test their stuff out and then at beta time erase it all so everyone one starts even. Me I've lost a lot in wipes before - I don't want to go through that all again. I've paid my dues testing for them. Not complaining I signed on to do that. But now I'm ready to move on. I was hoping for a DU person would give the definitive answer here. But thanks for your thoughts tho

Just curious is all. Are we playing with an Alpha or Beta version? Also did we get a wipe with this one and then another when the real Beta begins?
