Like everyone else here recently, BOO is now a year old as of today.
 
We've made a lot of friends and enemies along the way while we have all waited for Dual Universe. It's been a wild ride for BOO coming from a very small group of shitposting pirates to spanning a huge community across multiple games. We've changed a lot as a community, and for the better I am certain. I love DUs community, and am excited to see whats in store for us in the near future as we get closer to the release stage.

Problem with this logic, is that Adolph is a normal name. Hitler is just a last name as well.

See, if NQ allows for "Raptor Jesus", they will have to allow for "Jewhunter99", or "Hitler-Fuhrer-44" or whatever else 14yo angsty teen's going to come up with to say "F U" to the world.

According to your logic, "Jews can be hunters! Jewhunter99 is not an insidious name! I don't see the problem!" So, let's drop the pretense on this sizzle. IT's silly.

So, no, NQ should not have to tolerate such names. There's freedom of speech and then there's headaches to be avoided on a PR and litigatory level.

While we can understand this organization has been created with fun in mind, this organization is not legit for several reasons:
- Creating an organization referring to people existing in real life (even in a funny way) is not allowed ("Jay Cee").
- Creating an organization referring to religion existing in real life (even in a funny way) is not allowed (Name "Jesus" with a clear christian connotation behind).
- Moreover, making an organization to vow a cult to a living person (even in a funny way) is not allowed ("Church of Jay Cee").

We can totally understand that these rules may appear pretty harsh, too serious, but these are the rules to avoid any unecessary conflicts or controversies and they should be respected.
Therefore, this organization will be deleted soon and we ask you to change your display name.
To make this perfectly clear, we will update both forum rules and community portal rules soon.

Hi all, 
sorry for the lack of updates on these charts, I have been extremely busy in the real world (that exists, I always forget) with studying, finding work, etc, etc. 
I had come to a conclusion that these charts weren't great enough and stopped whilst I was ahead. Mainly due to the fact that I was unable to stay on top of input, reading and looking through it all. It got fairly hectic for a time and I had to take a forced break.  

Though, with the possibility of Alpha coming along soon, I am thinking about starting up again, anew. As this gives me the chance to better watch the alpha through release stages of growth. 
I suspect that the data will be greatly affected by the ability to play the game, seeing as real dynamics within Organizations will be used, seen, heard or abused. 

So, keep watching this space, the charts will be coming back soon.

Band of Outlaws is a honey badger worshiping space cartel within Dual Universe. We plan to be the premiere organization for those who enjoy a less than serious organization, with a cartel/mafia theme to spice up our unique community culture. Our goal is to always enjoy the game, and to knock over as many sand castles as we can.
 
We are happy to accept mercenaries, pirates, smugglers, traders, builders, explorers, and any other play style in this game. We want to encourage everyone in Dual Universe who has a heart for a sense of community and gaming to join us, whether as individuals or with your own group. Either way, we have a growing support network that anyone can benefit from.

We also understand games can be hard to commit to, and acknowledge the fact that people have lives outside of the internet. We won't force you to do anything, the only thing we want you to do is to have fun and play the game your way, hopefully with us among friends.

Unlike the majority of organizations within Dual Universe who want to create their own space empires or industrial mega corporations, we wanted to create the first Cartel for the game and its community. BOO will provide many services ranging from discreet goods transportation, a bounty hunters network, asset security, and everything else in between. All of which can be purchased for the right price of course.
 
We wanted to create a community in DU that did not take itself seriously, but could still be a powerhouse organization through economics, industrial power, force if necessary, and memes. We intend to help with the construction of neutral, free trade player hubs like our Project: Tortuga. Tortuga is our code name for one of Dual Universe’s first planned neutral player hubs that will be created on a planet when the game releases.
 
That is just a small portion of what our community is going to accomplish, as we have been steadily growing in several other games such as Destiny 2, Path of Exile, Hell Let Loose, Overwatch, and several more. We want members to join a family of fellow, like minded internet nerds than just some faction in a singular game.
 
 

 


 
Strength in numbers: Being the 2nd largest organization in Dual Universe, we have more than enough manpower to protect our own assets and those of our members.
 
PVP: Want to bathe in the blood of your enemies? Did that space trucker look at you sideways? Just like to see the galaxy burn? We can ensure you that we will do all of that and more. We love PVP, do you love PVP?
 
PVE: Huh?
 
Industrial Powerhouse: We have some of the brightest minds in the DU community theory-crafting our industrial process’ for churning out our ships and construction materials to keep you busy if building and production is your forte.
 
Ship Replacement Program: We like PVP, did we tell you that yet? While we will be blowing holes in other players’ ships, some will be blown into ours as well. We can keep you in the fight with our organization funded SRP program where you will be given a free replacement for your ships if they are lost/destroyed on BOO business and operations.
 
A true gaming community: DU isn’t our only game, join our Discord server of 400+ members to hang out with a community of somewhat likable nerds. Come for the memes, and stay for the memes.
 
Memecrafting: We live by the meme, and we die by the meme.
 

 
 
BOO is not a democracy, but we place our members as the number one focus of our community. Everything our leadership does is done with that goal in mind, and if it doesn’t work/fit our culture or it just chaffs the community in the wrong way, then we find something else that does work and keep moving forward.
 
This keeps our foundation strong, and allows our community as a whole to adapt to whatever it needs to adapt to in order to keep everyone happy and having fun. Our leadership volunteers their free time to ensure that BOO is always at its best, and that our members are taken care of. Below is a quick diagram of our current leadership.
 

 

 
Like any good space cartel, we are also home to several organizations within BOO. Groups like Vanguard, a private mercenary corporation, benefit from everything that BOO offers its core members without losing their own identity and autonomy. We like to call these groups SIGs, or Special Interest Groups. Special Interest Groups help to provide day-to-day content for their members.

BOO is all about quality over quantity, and with that, we have some standards we put in place that we would like potential members to meet. I am proud to announce that Vanguard has joined BOO (Band of Outlaws). as of the 6th of July (Yes, I know I'm late.) We will remain whole as a mercenary organization within them and plan to stay true to any deal or contracts we’ve made. With this new change we will also be changing what we require of new recruits.
 
Joining BOO opens many doors for us as a group. In return we are helping BOO get their SIG (Special Interests Groups) program up and running by being the first group to participate in it. Being a SIG does not make us a vassal of their group but instead fully integrates us and gives each of our members access to the same programs, resources, and utilities as any other BOO member. We will not accept any contracts targeting BOO members but otherwise we will still take on any other acceptable type of contract.
 
With that said, we hope to pick back up recruitment and welcome many new members into our tight-knit family. With Alpha fast approaching (but not fast enough) people are slowly emerging from hibernation and activity is picking back up.
We hope to see as many of you in the DU as possible.

Hello and welcome to the community! We are glad to have you many of us have similar feelings of looking for a place where things work. We are still waiting for alpha so the game is still a ways off. As to who the big players are, I will do my best to give a summary but itis always important to do your own research.
 
The biggest group is Terran Union, run by UniversalG and FleetAdmiralCoke. They are a good group of people but have had a lot of infighting and restructuring over the years. 
Next up is Band of Outlaws or BOO of which I am a member. We are the second largest group. Cybrex is the big dog with us and supported by our staff. We are a bit like the mafia of memes; we are a bit rough around the edges but in the end we just want to have fun. We value community, fun, and freedom. We currently play a bunch of other games while we wait for DU.
After that, there is Cinderfall Syndicate. The best way to describe them would the United Nations but in space. Astrophil runs them and he is a great person. They have had a few setbacks recently but they have a lot of players and groups who are focused on building things. 
Then there is the Empire, a quiet group but they are well put together. Leonis is the one I see most active over there. Then there are a number of smaller groups that come in all shapes in sizes. 
 
The big thing for looking at groups is not what they promised but whether you like the people. So talk to people, join Discords, play games with people, and find some friends
