  1. No not good for me. I will never get to kill any of them. And who's being the troll now? I was actually trying to be helpful. She aint gonna take any shit from griefers in her org. But whatever, please proceed to cry in the forums instead of actually trying to fix the problem by going directly to the person who could fix it. It's your time to waste. And why the sexist remark about Sylva being a mommy? She's their leader, not their mommy. Show some respect.
  2. It will cost 2.5 billion quanta for the three schematics it will take to fix it. Of course you might still have to wait for them to skill up some. I hear the fixing the AGG talent is quite a time sink.
  3. Umm, I have quite few friends in BOO. They are not all trolls. And I take offense that you would say so. The were going to be my favorite frienemies in game (gotta have someone to fight). And even the ones that might be considered as such are just bored off their asses with nothing to do in the game. If NQ had not sold this as a finished PvP game with wonderful (fake) videos with giant battles going on when there really is zero PvP to speak of, maybe they would not be getting on your nerves. So yeah, maybe NQ can take a little of the blame. My suggestion would be to report the guilty parties to the leader of BOO, Sylva. if they were out of line, she'll tend to it. Unless of course you just ruined that option for yourself, idk.
  4. Sure, no problem. We spent millions building our ships and our warp cells factories and getting a decent start to our infrastructure. We were all mining most of our game play time to pull that off. We were finally at a point where we could start taking orders after a few months. It was already so grindy even back then but there was light at the end of the tunnel and some of our more advanced plans were just in the starting stages. Meanwhile we could barely find a customer who wanted to pay enough for us to profit at that point, so i was already worried how we were actually gonna pull it off. But we kept truckin' along anyway knowing that at some point we would be able to mine less and deliver more. We just had to hang in there. Then they did the schematics thing. So we were looking at billions more just to be able to get a minimum of industry built to afford fuel, warp cells , repairs & build new ships, weapons, ammo, and the rest of our infrastructure ( distribution centers, space stations, warp beacons, and so on). We needed industry to cut the costs of buying all of that retail since our profit margin was so low even before the change. Oh yeah...and we also wanted to actually pay our pilots and builders one day, lol. And at the same time, our potential customers also had to spend millions or more just to get their stuff back up to speed too. So even less chance of making a profit. IRL I'd say the new cost of industry bankrupted us. JC simply didn't want small orgs to play like that. We were all to be consumers and that just wasn't going to work out for us. Not if it meant mining most of the time we were in the game spending the rest of it at the markets. Plus, it just wasn't fun anymore. Everyone but a couple of guys quit almost simultaneously after a week or so of trying to make it work, including me. It was just too much grinding and not enough fun.
  5. Oh there is no doubt about that, its the direction development is taking that is of concern. Just check the kickstarter page (if you can find it, none of the links I have found in this forum will go to it anymore). it talks all about how solo players will be a thing. Not only is that NOT true anymore, but even small orgs like mine can no longer compete. Had they said, "join a giant org and be a billionaire so you can rebuild civilization" or something along those lines, I would never have spent so much money to help fund this game. But I don't want to play "employees in space" or "space market" or "space miner". Or whatever you want to call it. It's not going in the direction we were promised either way. I wanted to run my own small org and set up a business. That was going rather well until we were priced out of the economy.
  6. It's a moot point. The person in charge of making decisions is not a game designer, he's a rocket scientist. JC makes all the calls and I doubt he takes any feedback from the devs. There is just no way that anyone who is experienced enough to get a job at his company in the first place would make any of the decisions we have seen so far. It's like "game design 101 gone wrong". I often wonder if they even have a design document to work off of or if they just fly by the seat of their pants all the time. I'm betting the latter.
  7. I don't mind the subscription itself, it provides income needed to keep the server online and such. But in a Beta? No. No support? No. That's kinda what we're paying for in the first place. And for those of us in the US M-F support means we only get support, maybe, the following day since they have all left work for the day already. So basically zero priority support for the US and our neighbors, period. What a shame.
  8. No support on discord makes a little sense since it gets so hectic in there, but no GM in the game?! In a subscription-based game in alpha beta? Wow.
  9. I never said I never knew. I was one of the ones who constantly advocated against it back when I still thought the devs might be listening. What I said was that I was SO disappointed when I saw it. Not only was it the most boring way to do it, but it was poorly executed and has done nothing but get worse ever since.
  10. If only. I was SO disappointed when I saw the talents system. I'm used to working for my skills and prefer it that way. You can speed it up if I you work harder and every chop of a tree brings you closer to GM so it's not so mind numbingly boring to tend to. With this system you have to wait, no matter what you do or how much you mine. Its just a time sink and IMO the lazy way to do it.
  11. Sounds to me like only rich orgs would be able to warp at all if they implement this. So you would get tons more slow-boat players to attack whenever you like AND you make sure that rich orgs have total control of who warps and who doesn't. And, of course, once they get taken over and/or destroyed in PvP then we would still get ganked or even not be able to warp to that planet at all. Idk, the big orgs already have so much of an advantage as it is. Id rather they not know for sure I'm warping or slow boating. I'd rather the risk be left up to me to decide. You're a cool dude Johnny, but I dont' think you're all of a sudden turning into some kind of altruistic pvper who worries about the safety of your fellow players. ?
  12. I just about can't wait to watch this lawsuit play out. When are you going to file?
  13. I predict that the mission system will just be an interface for what we are already doing (and probably a buggy one). Mine and get paid, but less than you would if you just mined it yourself and sold it on the market. Or maybe hauling stuff, which is VERY expensive to do. There are only a few rich orgs who can afford to pay what it costs to do it and so far those guys hold all the cards so we will probably be hauling at a loss. Like this great deal I was once offered... A well known rich org offered me the opportunity of using one of their haulers (after a hefty deposit) to deliver their stuff for free so I could maybe use that hauler for other jobs. And even worse, that ship ended up having to be reworked because it couldn't even do the job. What they really wanted was free testers and free deliveries. I already have an org full of haulers. I have one of the BEST ship builders in the game in my org. What I don't have is people who want to actually pay me enough to make any kind of a profit to haul anything. I doubt an interface to make the same kinds of deals with the same kinds of uber rich orgs will change much. One way or another we are all destined to be slaves to those who cheat and exploit the system (and/or our fellow players) so they can just sit back and build whatever they want without having to lift a finger. I already live in that world. Not gonna play a game that wants to put me through the same thing in my free time. I've about given up tbh.
  14. Yeah I'm getting tired of ppl blaming the ATV for everything. Do ppl really think they listened to our suggestions any more than anyone else's? Everything that's wrong now WAS brought up by the ATV. They rarely listen to anything we say, which is why there are like only 10 of us who even bother anymore. Then we get accused of "insider exploits". I'm pretty sure that no one was told about these exploits ahead of time. I heard of every one of these debacles in recent months the exact same time everyone else did.
  15. Why is this such a hard thing to fix? Just find those purchases in the database, refund the money to the player, and remove the schematics. It might be too late by now, players may have already made millions selling them off. But if they REALLY cared about the economy as much as they say they do, they could find out who bought one and reverse that purchase as well. IDK, probably too late. What a cluster****.
  16. That's just the thing though. I didn't support this game to become "game rich". I joined to make friends, build, craft and work towards a common goal with my org mates. But now this game is nothing BUT about making tons and tons of money even before you get to do anything else at all. I already have a real job, thank you very much. I don't need a game job too. Like a previous poster, I suffered through all the grind we had before. I did end up building some cool things since pre-alpha. But now I am told that's not how we play this game. Instead, I am to choose one or two parts, spend millions of quanta to make them and hope that I don't choose something that gets saturated in the market. And sell, sell, sell. Or mine, mine, mine and then sell, sell, sell. THEN maybe I can build something or fix something. Meh. I also did not sign up for Eve Online here. I signed up for a sandbox where I could build anything I wanted. That promise has been revoked. No way in hell my small group of guys will be able to build what we have planned on now. All we can do is try to make money just to keep the ships flying and the market making money for the rich guys. I have not logged in for two weeks now. I have cancelled all DU notifications. I may or my not come back depending on how the next few updates are handled. If you guys wanna play "space billionaire," feel free and have fun. That's not what I signed up for.
  17. Well, NQ believes that too I guess. Tedium is not fun. I have enough of that kind of work IRL. Look if there are enough players who think sitting inside of user interfaces and clicking buttons and searching for stuff is challenging, then good luck to you all. I want a game that challenges my mind, not my patience.
  18. Yeah its just plain boring now. I tried to login and play the other day and spent hours trying to find recipes since it's such a PAIN to search for them. I can't believe how rudimentary the search features are in this game. Three hours later and four marketplace trips that still are so laggy it makes the game crash every time and I realize I have to go to another planet for three of the schematics. So that means I now have to build up my skills again. Nope. I don't want to spend another hour or two clicking those damn skills buttons and trying to drag them into order with the most un-user-friendly ordering feature I have ever seen. So that's like four hours of game play and nothing, whatsoever, fun about any of it. I can't even bring myself to spend 30 minutes logging in and crashing several times just to claim my daily money. This game might sound good on paper, but its just not fun at all for me anymore. Most of my org has quit playing too. Everyone playing different games now. I dont know if NQ can fix it, so idk if I'll play again. Have to wait and see if any of their new features add a little more fun, or if its just more sitting inside a menu and clicking stuff or not.
  19. These are ALL excellent ideas! This is what we want; actual challenges, not just mind-numbing excessive time-sinks.
  20. Probably, we're trying to set up a transport company and were "just" about to start taking orders. But it does require a LOT of industry, I am just not certain if we can pull it off anymore with all the new changes and being a smaller org. I am uncertain if there is a place in this game for small businesses like ours since it will be next to impossible to compete with the giant orgs now. And the last thing I need is another "job" by running a large org. It seems that being a small org is just not good enough for what the developers of this game want. Idk. We'll just have to wait and see ?‍♀️
  21. I really liked industry. It was challenging to see how many machines I could get going at once, how far ahead of my queue I could get and so on. I would tweak on it for hours. That fun is now gone and I am to be nerfed down to a refiner and honeycomb maker. So everyone in my org will now have to ask me to make all their honeycomb for them. This is not fun game play. Not ALL of us are here ONLY for the giant PVP battles that JC clearly wants to force us into. He does not seem to want a universe full of diversity of game-play (like in most sandboxes) in any way shape or form. We are ALL to join the three of four giant orgs in the game and become cogs in their machines. I wanted a sandbox where I could help build a civilization, not be a slave for giant orgs that may or may not even want to get to know me as a person at all. I am still hanging on, but ONLY for the sake of the players in my org. I only have a few left and I love them to death, but I suspect that the ones who don't just outright quit will be forced to join larger orgs if they too want to engage in any PVP at all. I doubt we will be able to build the modest sized transport company I have dreamed of anymore. I dont have time IRL to do all that mining. So, we'll see what happens, but I can tell you this. I am REALLY going to miss playing with my factories.
  22. Well, maybe if you let the guys in Montreal do the job every now and then it would be in the day time for those of us in the US. I really wish you would consider it.
  23. I didn't know about this until it was over. And I'm fairly active checking their discord a couple times a week, these forums a couple times a week and the ATV discord every so often as well. Plus I follow them on two different twitter accounts, lol. I guess that's just not enough attention, obviously, but I normally like to spend the majority of my game-time playing the game instead of reading about it.
  24. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. Considering this could actually be a soft launch of the game itself, it would really be nice to have some documentation.
