  1. It’s a plan but I feel we need more than that. Blaze was right in saying we need PVE players to feed PVP. At the same time PVE players should need pvpers to create danger and also to take some of that danger away through protection or missions for pvpers to take on for them. Even if it’s to haul through danger space because warp is now not that easy of an option.
  2. Agreed on the counter measures. At the same time ship durability needs a nerf bat swing or a damage buff to weapons. Also I’m sure there is 100 ways to make smaller pvp ships viable, but we need at least 1 of them to be implemented. Most importantly of all, we need a WHY pvp.
  3. Make warp beacons cost as much as a L space core or less. Beacons can only be deployed in pvp space. Remove planet warps. ?
  4. Why lie? Almost as bad as AC using exploits to match BOO at the event.... At least BOO can hold their head high and play legit.
  5. As Sylva said, we only targeted the targets worth the bullets. Targeting the weak SW ships would of just been a massacre. Almost all the shot calling ship names began with AC.
  6. Deckard was spectating the last fleet battle above Talemai. Soon as he popped out of god mode he got splatted by one of my missiles ?
  7. NQ kill board is fairly empty with just Deckard on there ?
  8. As far as I know the rules only apply to the main production server. As for PTS, the gloves are off and NQ can get in the gunner seats *hint hint* ?
  9. It’s true. NQ policy is they cannot be part of any org or group etc. NQ also ensure they do not run any risk of being accused of favouritism. Edit: explained from an NQ post with yamamushi. We would also like to take this opportunity to explain what are our internal rules when a member of our community becomes a Novaquark employee: His/her personal accounts are suspended for the time he/she is a Novaquark employee. He/she is given an anonymous player account so he/she could still continue to play the game, however, some specific rules apply to such an account: a. The Novaquark employee behind should not reveal his/her real identity and/or he’s part of the company. b. He/she shouldn’t join a player-run organization with this account either, for neutrality reasons. He/she is given a NQ account, mostly to test things, and occasionally to communicate with the community in-game (if such opportunity arises). Nothing done on this account (coming usually with more powers/rights than a player account) will be transferred on any personal account.

  11. I’m sure the NQ ban hammer swings for intent. Not because someone reports an exploitable bug.
  12. Making warp beacon’s a T3 or T4 item, ability to add public access to them along with removing the planet warp makes a lot of sense. Add this to a couple needed warp changes and this could be a winner imo.

  14. How many have tested scan results with 0 dredger talents? Is there a chance the scan results are 0.75 of actual?
  15. Rail guns actually acting like rail guns is a must imo. We definitely need some kind of penetrating ammo / weapons. I like the new take on energy system. Only thing I also would love to see in DU is a role / place for solo and smaller pvp fighters.

  17. To me PvP starts when you accept and take on the risk of contested territory. Don’t matter if you are a pirate, military force, rescuer, scavenger, armed escort service, armoured hauler convoy, fast hauler or the person who goes in with a seat strapped to a wet paper bag who waves their fist and calls anyone who one shot’s them griefer’s. Once you cross that border you give full consent to the risks because you want the rewards. Imo For the economy to work NQ needs to finish the planned pvp development and ability to skip pvp for higher tier resources removed. Other incentives for taking on risk needs to and will be added later. I’ve read that some people think because pvp has not had any updates in a while that it is just a “feature”. That was funny to read. PvP seems to be last on the Dev cycle but that would only be because it is important to get the infrastructure ready first. PVP content is what will close the loop and jump start this ship.
  18. I get the idea behind 0.23 but it was never going to do any kind of economy jump start, just the opposite. Why does economy suck? Because the game loop is unfinished. Without risk activities involving pvp for profit, everyone is a builder and no one needs one.
  19. Warp skipping will come to an end. Until then markets will remain good for buying finished products cheaper than the ore prices to make them and more and more items will become cheaper and cheaper. When it does end people will learn how to make haulers that can sustain attacks and not get destroyed in 1-2 hits out of pure necessity. When NQ was looking for a way to jump start an economy with 0.23, I think they was looking in the wrong place.

    HVC is part of BOO. Just like the eye's and ronald rail gun's are Blitz team ships.
  21. Problem with pvp? It’s not ready yet and that is upsetting the whole balance of the game. Higher tier ores will be locked behind contested territory. Until then the progress for everyone is a free for all without any need for social structures / player markets, no matter how many patches like 0.23 you put in.
